Looks like someone's pretending to be from a local number around here, using the 017683 code which is for Appleby/Kirkby Stephen. I picked up because it seemed legit. The automated message said I had charges on my card - £300 from Amazon and £1000 from some international transaction - and told me to press 1 to approve or 2 to talk to an 'advisor'. Totally dodgy if you ask me! I checked my bank app and everything's normal, so I reckon this is just another scam call. I've reported it already.
