Gave me a bell on my mobile, asked for me by name, then abruptly cut the line. Quite odd, if you ask me.

I received a rather peculiar call today from someone purporting to represent an insurance firm, claiming I had been in a car accident. They alleged they were gathering insights on how insurers manage such incidents. The thing is, I’ve never had an accident! When I pressed for details about the supposed insurance company or any specifics of the accident, they were rather vague. I requested to speak to a supervisor and reiterated that I hadn’t been in any accident nor had dealings with any insurance. When I inquired how they obtained my contact details, they had the audacity to say it was through Tesco Clubcard! The caller assured me that my number would be removed from their list. We shall see if they follow through on that. From now on, I think I’ll just tie them up in unnecessary conversation to return the favour for their time-wasting antics.
