I got a call from 01766 771908 today. When I answered, there was nothing but silence on the other end. Then they left a voicemail with a reference number, but didn’t say who they were or why they were calling. No idea what that was about, so I’ve blocked the number now!

I never picked up when they rang, but they left this creepy automated message, calling me by name and telling me to call back with some ref number. I’ve blocked the number straight away and I’m not bothering to ring them. Sounds like the same 800 scam calls I’ve been getting from different numbers over the last few weeks.

Totally a scam, when we questioned them they said it was about GDPR, but usually debt stuff comes straight from the company you owe, then debt collectors send letters, not just a phone call. No letters had come through to me at all. Scammers always try to get your address since they dont have it, and when you push the point they just hang up.

The same number buzzed my home phone yesterday and then again today. Fortunately, it landed in my voicemail. The message was a pre-recorded one, urging me to ring "01766771908" about some mishap with a compensation insurance claim. Oddly enough, the voice in the message, a woman’s, even mentioned a family member who hasn’t resided here for four years! Quite baffling!
