Some bloke called me saying there was an issue with my computer. When I asked how he knew, he said he was getting a signal from it. I was like, "What signal and how?" Then he told me it was through my licence. I asked him, "Which licence, my driving licence or TV one?" Next thing, he just ended the call on me! Such a dodgy call!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT Openreach saying there was an issue with my internet. Got suspicious when I said my daughter works as a manager at BT - even though she actually left that role years ago. I told them this and they just hung up right away. Total rubbish really!

this bloke called up with a really over the top American accent, saying he was from microsoft. i just cut him off straight away. he rang back and asked why i ended the call when he’d told me his name. i told him i didn’t want to talk and hung up on him once more. seriously, why would microsoft be calling and how on earth did they get my old number from the directory? makes no sense at all.

Somebody rang me saying there was an issue with my PC. When I asked how they were picking up the signal, they just claimed it was through my licence. I asked them what licence they meant - the driving one, the TV one? Then they just abruptly ended the call!

Just like a lot of folks here, I got a call from some bloke saying there was an issue with my PC and that he could fix it if I gave him my licence number. When I told him to jog on, he suddenly turned pretty nasty. Didn’t hang around after that. This was at 1:06pm today, 28th November.
