I got a pre-recorded call claiming there had been some dodgy dealings related to my bank account - although, curiously, they didn’t even mention which bank it was! They rattled on about a £300 transaction to Amazon and a £1000 overseas transfer. They urged me to press one if I recognised these transactions or two to alert their ‘support team’ about potential fraud. I decided not to engage and promptly hung up. I then logged into my online banking to double-check, and surprise, surprise, those payments were nowhere to be found. Definitely a scam!

Got a call earlier claiming £300 was charged to Amazon and £1000 on an international transaction, said they were from my bank. Just ignored it and ended the call. I think this is like the second or third time I've had this kind of call.

I just got a rather suspicious call from this number, claiming there were two dubious Amazon transactions: one for £100 and another for £300. They insisted I needed to press various buttons to sort it all out. I hung up, as it screamed scam to me. It’s rather curious, especially since I’ve just ordered something from Amazon not long ago.

Got a robocall about renewing my Amazon Prime for £79, said they’d take the money straight from my bank. They kept telling me to press 1 to confirm, but honestly it’s a scam since I don’t even have Prime. Definitely dodgy!

I received a call from a lady with a rather strong accent who insisted on discussing my computer issues related to Windows software. She kept urging me to turn it on. When I mentioned that the device was for my business purposes, she became rather pushy and quite rude. So, I decided it was best to lay down the law and told her where she could go.

Got a voicemail saying thanks for buying train tickets with my debit card. Then they told me to press 1 to talk to their Visa Fraud team if I wasn’t the one who made the purchase. Pretty obvious it’s a scam since I don’t even own a Visa debit card.

Today (13/05/24) at about 11.42, I got a call from 01765 278303 with a recorded message. It said it was from Amazon and warned me about a supposed charge that would be taken from my bank account. They asked me to press 1 if I wanted to speak to someone about it. Knowing these sort of calls are often scams, I didn't respond. I figured I'd leave a note here in case anyone else gets something similar - seems like a spoof to me.
