got a call from a number on bt call guardian but no one said who they were, so i’m guessing it was either some dodgy scam or just a call centre. i’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

I got a call last Saturday from someone saying they were with HMRC, name was something like Ryan or Brian, but they had a really strong accent. The number showed 0151 which I think is Liverpool. I just told them if HMRC had a problem they'd send a letter, then ended the call straight away. Seems like a scam to me!

I got a call from someone with a strong Asian accent pretending to be from HMRC. They told me I hadn't paid my income tax and threatened to have me arrested! Proper scary stuff.

Today I got a call from an Asian bloke who asked for me by name, said he was representing Claims UK or something. I wasn’t having it and told him I didn’t trust what he was saying, then just hung up on him.
