Got a call from someone with an asian accent claiming to be from TalkTalk. Said there was an issue with my router. I’m pretty sure it was a scam, so I just told him everything was working fine and quickly ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from TalkTalk. I called them out saying it was a scam, which really annoyed them. When I mentioned I was going to hang up and ring TalkTalk’s official number (150), they told me that wouldn’t work. Instead, they insisted I had to call a specific number and claimed they knew my router number as proof they were legit. Quite fishy if you ask me!

I didn’t recognise this number, so I can only presume it's yet another scam trying to get me to sort out my TalkTalk router, despite having ditched that service after being hacked. I decided to simply hang up without saying a word.
