Today, on the 23rd of January 2025, I got a robotic call claiming to be from my bank. The phone number showed up as 01763284222. Now, I know that 01763 belongs to Royston in Hertfordshire, and as far as I’m aware, there aren’t any banks operating there right now. Plus, the two main bank centres nearby definitely wouldn’t be sending those kind of automated messages to customers. So yeah, this was definitely a scam.
