I got a call from someone speaking with a strong Indian accent. Said they were calling from some 'Canadian Pharmacy' and asked if I was interested in buying any medications. Honestly, I doubt they had anything genuine or that I’d even want. Just another typical South Asian scammer trying their luck. Honestly, they'd deserve a good old tar and feathering for this nonsense.

Got a couple of calls from the same number yesterday and one today. Yesterday, the caller claimed to be from BT and kept firing questions at me. I didn’t respond and they just ended the call. Today, they stayed quiet for a bit, then played some recorded message that just said goodbye. Weird experience.

The moment I answered, a woman's voice simply uttered 'Goodbye'. I’ve had this call several times before, but it’s always been from an anonymous number until now.

I picked up and said who I was, then the guy asked if I was a Mr, which happens to be my wife’s old surname - her name hasn’t been linked to this number for well over 14 years. The caller had an Indian accent, said his name was Steven and claimed he was ringing from BT, offering me a better, cheaper deal. Total scam, watch out!

Got a call from someone with a really thick accent saying they were from BT and that they had a better offer for me. Could barely understand a word, and as soon as I realised it was a scam, I told them to stop trying to mess me about. Bit of a p###!

Got a ring from a bloke with an Asian accent saying he was from BT, trying to sell me a new deal. He knew my name and where I live, but when he asked for my middle name, I asked why he needed that info. Then he claimed I was a pensioner and qualified for the offer - which I’m definitely not. Feeling a bit dodgy, I mentioned he should talk to my husband since he handles the bills, and that’s when the call just ended abruptly.

Got a ring from a woman with a really strong Asian accent claiming to be from BT. She told me I qualify for some special offer since I’m a 'light user'. She did know my name and phone number, but when it came to my postcode, she couldn’t get it right. When she asked me to 'give her a hand' with it, I said if she genuinely worked for BT, she’d already have it. After that, she just disconnected the call. Pretty clear it was a dodgy scam!

This lady kept calling, asking for the old doctor by name, but her accent was so thick I could hardly make it out. I told her, "He actually stopped working around 10 years ago, love," and she just ended the call right there - quite cheeky if you ask me. It was strikingly similar to my experience... A call came through with the chap saying, 'This is Canadian Pharmanct reaching out regarding your prescription, do you recall?' When I responded negatively, he promptly cut the line.

Earlier today, I received a rather dodgy call from someone who had an Asian accent claiming I had made a purchase for some medication. He asserted, “Do you recall? I’m from a firm in Canada.” Oddly enough, I had just come across an article detailing how these scammers are targeting vulnerable seniors, tricking them out of substantial sums of money. Without hesitation, I told him to get lost and promptly blocked the number. It’s rather suspicious, as the number doesn’t even appear to originate from Canada. 0176300424
