Beware of yearly TV insurance offers, they're a total rip-off.

On 12/11/2018 at about 2.40pm, I got a call saying I could save £2 each month on my TV insurance, which sounded alright - about £24 a year. They already knew the first 4 digits of my card number and asked me to provide the rest, so I gave it to them. Then they wanted the expiry date, which I also gave, and even the 3 digits on the back. After that, they asked how to spell my first name properly, saying it was for the confirmation letter. Feeling suspicious, I rang up my bank straight away and cancelled my card just in case!

Got a call earlier today around 12.50 from someone saying I had to review my yearly tv insurance. Didn’t seem legit, so I ended up blocking the number with 14258. Looks like that’s doing the trick.
