I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was from Offcom and said I could get a bill discount. I didn’t trust it and ended up just hanging up. Later, I rang my phone company and they confirmed that it was a scam.

i got a call from a bloke with an accent, claiming to be from the telephone preference service. the number on my phone showed 01761418945, but weirdly, it flagged it as an international call. he mentioned my tps subscription was expiring the next day and said he'd connect me to a supervisor who'd arrange an upgraded plan to stop unwanted calls. i quickly said no and told him goodbye!
