there’s this one kind of cold call i keep hearing about, where they tell you or someone in your family has been in a car accident and try to talk you into some made-up insurance claim. these days with so many folk getting random calls on their mobiles and home phones, these scammers keep finding cleverer ways to trick people.

This entire week I've had loads of calls from various firms claiming the Road Traffic Accident dept contacted them about some crash I supposedly had, which is just not true. Right now, I got yet another call from a number looking pretty much the same, saying the same thing. These annoying cold calls really ought to be banned. I told them to take my details off their marketing lists, but who knows if they actually will.
