I received a rather alarming call from this number claiming to be from “HMRC,” informing me that I had unpaid taxes and that a fine was imminent. Honestly, I couldn’t believe it! I settled my taxes back in December and have the official receipt, complete with a reference number, to prove it. My bank statement also clearly shows the payment. I'm quite sure the next time they ring, they'll try to extract your card information to "settle the fine." Just a friendly warning to stay vigilant!
