Beware of a Sky Broadband scam going around. They call saying they're checking your internet speed, then try to get you to install some software that supposedly boosts your Sky Broadband speed. But really, it's just a trick to get into your computer. Definitely not safe!

Picked up this number and the moment they said something about a computer, I shot back with "oh great, another scam trying to grab cash." They just hung up straight away. These calls keep targeting older and vulnerable folks far too often, and honestly, BT really needs to step up and put a stop to these crooks.

Got a couple of calls just 20 minutes apart from someone pretending to be Sky, saying there were issues with my broadband and wifi. The first call cut off after about half a minute. When they rang again, I mentioned it was the second time they'd phoned and they responded with, “If it’s sorted, why did you call us?” Wasn't having any of it and just ended the call. Proper nonsense!

This number rang me up at about 8.10 in the morning, saying they were from some firm called "Michael Fox"! I’m pretty sure the actor wouldn’t be chuffed to have his name used like that, especially to scare folk about dodgy stuff happening on their computers. I listened to the woman ramble on for a while before telling her my PC was actually with a technician and politely told her to jog on and stop bothering me! I’m 72, but that doesn’t mean I’m daft.

It seems I received a call purporting to be from my internet service provider, but they couldn't clarify which network I'm actually connected to. Got a call from someone claiming they were with the Telephone Preference Service, mentioning some new scheme to stop overseas spam calls. I asked how much it would cost, and they told me £129. I told them I'd rather just deal with the annoying calls than pay that much, then I ended the call.

I didn’t pick up when the call came through and there was no voicemail left either, haven’t gone through the comments here so not sure what’s going on.

Some woman rang me claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer had issues and if they didn’t sort it soon, Microsoft would be shut down 🤣. I let her go on a bit before I told her she was a scammer. She actually asked me what evidence I had for that!!

Got a call but no one spoke, just some busy noise in the background. It was pretty silent on the other end.

Got a call from this number just now, didn’t say anything or leave a message. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it already. Cheers for the info!

Someone called pretending to be from Microsoft. Probably one of those typical scams, but what really freaked me out was that he actually knew where I lived.

Got a call saying they were from Sky. They’ve been ringing me on and off for the past few hours, and this isn’t the first time. Pretty obvious it’s a scam but I’m not sure what their angle is this time?

Got a call from a bloke saying I'd been billed for an Amazon Prime renewal. He said press 1 to cancel, press 2 to talk to an agent. It threw me a bit, so I hit 2. Then he said I needed to install some programme so he could help me sort it. I told him I wouldn’t be downloading anything. He kept pushing me to do it, but I stood firm. Eventually, he just cut me off. Tried calling back using 141 before the number to hide my ID, but the call wouldn't go through.

Just got a call from 01759303071. The guy asked if I was someone with a certain name, and when I said no, he then wanted to know who I was. I didn’t bother answering and quickly just asked back, “Who’s calling me?” before ending the call. Typical, really.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Sky, but they never told me their name and wouldn’t confirm mine either. They kept insisting I connect my smartphone or iPad. Since I never reached out to Sky myself, I just ended the call. Watch out, this sounds like a scam!

Today, I received a rather dodgy call from this number that set my alarm bells ringing. It was an automated voice claiming to be from Amazon, telling me that there had been a purchase of a gift card linked to my account, and asking me to verify the transaction. The thing is, I don’t even have an Amazon account! It’s clearly a scam.

I received a call from an overseas call centre, and it felt rather dodgy-almost like they were attempting to gain access to my Wi-Fi network.

This number kept ringing me but no one ever said anything, pretty sure it's some kind of scam. I've had quite a few silent calls from it.

Somebody rang me pretending to be from Amazon, saying there was a £49 gift card bought using my account. They wanted me to visit a Google link to "secure" my account. When I asked for any info about my recent orders or anything, they couldn’t give me any details. Seemed really suspicious to me. The only thing they got right was my last name. Total scam, 100% dodgy!

I got a call from 01759303071 claiming to be from Microsoft, telling me my computer was hacked and full of viruses. They wanted me to open my PC and read a message they supposedly sent, then asked me to verify my info. I told them it was a scam and hung up straight away. Tried calling back a minute later but the number was blocked. Watch out for this one! The phone company said they can't do much about these calls, probably cause they get paid somehow, but if I hadn’t paid my bill, they’d cut me off quick enough. It’s mad how these scammers keep getting through.

Someone called looking for Mr Brown, but he's not at this number. I told them that and they just hung up. Despite being on the TPS, I’m still getting these annoying calls!

They've rung me up 4 times so far. The first couple of calls, they claimed to be from Sky, but the last two times, they didn’t say a word at all. Quite odd really.

This number, 01759 303071, just won’t stop ringing me, claiming there’s some kind of tech issue with Sky. It’s been bugging me - called me 4 times in less than 10 mins! They really don’t listen when I say I’m not interested. Proper annoying.

Got three calls from this number but nobody spoke when I answered hello. Rang them back and there was just silence, then the line dropped! Definitely feels like a scam to me.
