Got a call from a blocked number with a recorded message claiming it was BT warning that my internet and phone line might be hacked. Sounded dodgy to me, so I just ignored it.

I got a robotic call saying it was BT, claiming my phone line was at risk and asked me to pick one of two numbers to press. The voice sounded really pushy, which put me off straight away. What baffles me is that the call seemed to come from a genuine BT landline number, claimed to be BT, yet somehow BT can’t seem to track down or stop these annoying calls from coming through.

Avoid ringing this number again, it might charge you about 30 to 50 pence every minute. Total rip off, just end the call!

For the past three weeks i've been getting loads of calls from different numbers with this automated voice from California saying my internet will be cut off and to call back. I haven’t had any issues with my internet turning off though. Really annoying!

Got a call from a new number today, but it was the same robotic voice saying my internet was hacked or something from California. They asked me to press 2 to talk to some BT person. I just hung up straight away. The number that showed up was 01759232043.

I've received two calls from different numbers recently, both robotic voices repeating the same script. They ask you to press a button to speak with someone who can assist, but I just hang up every time. Feels like some kind of scam to me. You might end up paying loads for a useless call or even be tricked into giving remote access to your PC for a problem that doesn’t even exist. Seems pretty risky either way.
