Got some robotic message about HMRC supposedly having a case against me. Total rubbish, clearly just scammers. Does anyone else notice how around the end of May, the scam calls suddenly spike? Feels like these fraudsters all agree to flood our phones in the last couple of weeks of May or something!

In the past half hour, I got called four times from the same number. Each time, when I checked the voicemail, it was just some robotic message saying I hadn’t pressed any buttons. Sounds exactly like a scam from what others have said, so I’ve put a block on it now.

I just got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, threatening legal action and telling me to press 1 to speak to someone. It was all automated, which immediately made me suspicious, so I ended the call straight away. I then checked with HMRC themselves and they confirmed it was a scam. They mentioned loads of people have been getting similar calls lately, and warned not to respond or share any details. I reckon most folks wouldn’t fall for this, but for anyone unsure or tempted to answer, just be careful - these dodgy calls are definitely going around.

Got a few missed calls from this number and figured it might be a client, so I rang them back. The phone answered with an automated voice saying "thanks for the call" and then I just hung up. Bit weird if you ask me.
