Got a call this morning from someone claiming to be from BT saying there was a broadband fault and I needed to check my computer. I know BT always ring from an 0800 number, so straight away I was suspicious. Plus, why the heck would they want me fiddling with my computer anyway? Felt like a clear attempt to nab my bank or login info. Rather than give them the satisfaction, I just told them where to go and ended the call. I've blocked the number on my BT account and also on my phone's block list. Already reported the number to BT. Total scam - don’t fall for it!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, said there was an issue with my broadband and told me to check my computer. I didn’t bother with it and just hung up because BT normally rings you from an 0800 number. I’ve also reported this number to BT just to be safe. Definitely a scam if you ask me.
