Received a call this morning from someone claiming to be from BT, stating that there was an issue with our broadband and asking me to log onto my computer. Right off the bat, I knew something was amiss; BT only contacts you via an 0800 number, don’t they? Plus, why would they require access to my computer? Clearly, they were fishing for my login details or possibly even my banking information! I managed to hold my tongue and resist the urge to unleash my true feelings about these unscrupulous individuals, promptly hanging up instead. I've blocked this number on my BT account and ensured it’s on the blocked list on my mobile too! Moreover, I've reported this number to BT as well. What a scam! Absolute nonsense!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, said there was an issue with my broadband and told me to check my computer. I didn’t bother with it and just hung up because BT normally rings you from an 0800 number. I’ve also reported this number to BT just to be safe. Definitely a scam if you ask me.
