On the rare occasion I did pick up, they promptly disconnected without a word. Despite being registered with the Telephone Preference Service, having an unlisted number, and only sharing my digits with family, I still find myself receiving these calls. The caller appears to be a silent one.

They’ve rang me a few times but no one says anything. The number is local which is odd because their firm is from Blackburn, lancashire so I guess they have people working nearby. I haven’t bothered returning the call because I’ve heard some of these numbers charge crazy high rates if you ring back. I’m thinking of blocking it soon.

Got a call from a firm named Advice Direct that showed up on my caller ID as a local number, but it was actually spoofed. I read somewhere they were slapped with a £20,000 fine not too long ago, yet they keep carrying on like nothing happened. When I looked them up online, their address was listed in Blackburn Lanes, but the phone number they gave didn’t even connect when I tried calling back. Quite suspicious if you ask me.
