I received a rather peculiar automated message claiming that my BT internet was being involved in some sort of unlawful activity, with an option to press 1 to chat with a BT representative. The thing is, I’m quite certain my internet isn’t involved in any dodgy dealings; I reside alone, meaning there's no one else to blame, and I certainly wouldn’t engage in such behaviour myself.

Finding the entire situation suspicious, I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from my bank, saying there was money taken out of my account.

Got a call from this number, showed up on my phone but I reckon it might be cloned or something. There was a recorded voice saying my card was used on some overseas money transfer site. I just ended the call straight away!
