Got a call with nothing but silence at 9:04 this morning. Been getting quite a few of these silent calls over the past few days.

This phone is linked to my internet service and I don’t often use it to make calls anymore. It used to get loads of annoying calls from telemarketers, so I generally just ignore it. Sometimes, if I’m nearby, I’ll answer but stay silent unless I know who’s calling. This time, when I picked up, there was nobody there and I just listened. After the call ended, I tried calling the number back but was told it doesn’t take incoming calls. To me, it was clearly just another cold call, and I reckon they’re all quite dodgy.

I just received a call from someone claiming to be from Amazon. They informed me about a potentially fraudulent transaction made with my card on Amazon. However, I haven't made any recent purchases on Amazon. During the call, they instructed me to press certain buttons.

Just wanted to add on to what's been said. I ignored the call and thought I blocked the number, but it rang again. There's also been a serious upsurge in fake emails linked to Amazon accounts. I've been getting loads saying there’s issues with my account, but I don’t even have Prime. I've sent them all over to [email protected][###].

Got a spam call just like this, someone telling me I bought an iPhone 11 and there was weird activity on my Amazon account. Very sketchy as they must have my info or something, spoke to a woman with an Asian accent.

Got a call from 01756701254, claiming I’d ordered an iPhone worth over £1000 through Amazon. They told me to press 1 if it was me or 2 to chat to someone about cancelling it. Just for a laugh, I hit 2 and ended up speaking to a guy called Peter with an Asian accent. Let’s just say I didn’t hold back and let him have it!

I got a robo call from a woman saying that £1349 has just been spent on Amazon with my card. She said it might be fraud and if it wasnt me, I should press 1 to reach customer support. Totally a scam, so be careful!

01756701254 I’ve had the exact same issue with this recorded call like lots of others here. Can anyone tell me why the phone providers aren't cracking down on these scammers? That number’s registered in Skipton, North Yorkshire. Surely BT and the others can track it down and put an end to these dodgy calls. Yet they don't seem to do anything, just like the so-called Telephone Preference Service, which is meant to stop unknown numbers but absolutely doesn’t. It’s a complete joke.

Got a call from 01756701254 saying there was a purchase of £1049 on my card and to press 1 if it was me. It was just a robotic message, never asked for my name or anything, so anyone in the house might’ve answered. I instantly knew it was a scam!
