had a run in with a bloke called ben vertis claiming to be from sterling services, turns out its a bitcoin con. dont pick up or just block the call straight away. like someone else said, this guy keeps pushing and frequently rings from numbers that look auto generated, mostly beginning +4020. everytime i get a call i just hang up and block. if only i'd known sooner, lost £20,000 to this scammer. luckily the bank and cops are chasing it now to get my cash back. watch out guys!

Just a heads up about Ben Vertis from Sterling Services - it's a bitcoin scam, so don't pick up and block the caller straight away. This guy’s persistent, kind of like someone else said here. He generally calls from computer-generated numbers, often starting with +4020. Every time I get a call I just hang up and then block the number. If only I’d been warned earlier - I got conned out of £20,000. The police and my bank are now trying to recover the cash. Take care and watch out for this one.

I got tricked into purchasing bitcoins from someone called Ben Vertis through sterlingspecialist{###). Luckily, the famous Kraken platform flagged it as a scam and gave me my money back. I told Ben Vertis over email that I didn’t want any more communication from him or his so-called company, but he keeps ringing me up, sometimes twice a day or even more. I’m pretty certain these calls come from this number. It pops up as an international call on my mobile, and I never pick up when I see it.

I picked up not knowing who was calling. There was a lot of noise in the background so I ended the call pretty quick, like after 5 seconds.

Pretty sure this was a scam, they gave me some bizarre investment spiel. It was a cold call and I reckon they got my number from that Ledger data breach.

This Asian woman rang me, said she’s from some investment company called ‘Investec’. When I asked why I should even bother with a random, out of the blue call, she just hung up on me. Sounds like a total scam to me, and trust me, I know what I’m talking about.
