I suspect I've encountered another fresh variant of a spoofed number, as there haven’t been any previous reports about it. The automated voice then prompted me to press 1 if I wanted assistance with the disconnection or 2 for some other option. I didn’t stick around to find out more, so I promptly blocked the number. I plan on digging a bit deeper, such as verifying the area code, but it seems quite probable that it was a spoof attempt.
