Is there anyone out there who can shed some light on who's been calling from this phone number?

I’ve just received a call on my work line from this number, inquiring after an individual who's never been part of our team. I even took a moment to consult our internal directory, and lo and behold, there isn't a soul by that name here! They were going on about some supposedly perilous computer virus... Sounds a bit dodgy to me!

I received a call from this number earlier today, purporting to be from a debt assistance line, and they were rambling on about an issue with my computer. Absolute nonsense, and I'm not remotely interested in that. They ended up hanging up on me. It's rather outrageous, really, as I’m on the telephone preference service list, so they shouldn't even be contacting me!

This number persists in contacting me every single day. No matter how many times I end the call, they still ring me back. It's incredibly frustrating! 😩

I received a call at 4:52 PM today from a woman with an Asian accent. She introduced herself as being part of the 'tech support' team from a company that supposedly assists with Windows computer maintenance. She knew my name and wanted to confirm if I was the primary user of the computer. When I mentioned that I don’t own a computer, she hung up rather quickly without any further ado!

I received a rather annoying silent voicemail that seems to have taken up far too much of my storage space-what a right bother! I’m ex-directory, so it baffles me how they manage to obtain my number. Not long ago, they called, claiming I had issues with my computer, which is complete nonsense since I take care of my own maintenance. I was quite irritated with the chap on the line, so I shoved my phone in a drawer and decided to have a cuppa instead, taking about 15 minutes to calm down. When I finally retrieved my phone, they had of course hung up. A clever tactic I picked up from me mum!

I’ve just had a missed call from this number, which I didn’t recognise so I chose not to pick up. A quick search led me to this site.

A big shoutout to the anonymous commenter who provided some helpful details. Let’s all stay alert and keep our wits about us, everyone!

I just had a rather peculiar call from this number, claiming to be inquiring about my computer. When I probed about which computer they meant, the rather difficult-to-understand caller asked if I actually owned one! I mentioned that I indeed have a few, given my office job, and suddenly, they hung up on me. Quite bemusing, really!

I too received a call from this number, with someone named Daniel on the line speaking in rather poor English! He was purporting to be from tech support. I couldn't resist turning up the volume on my telly just to give him a taste of the frustration one feels when you've got to endure noise you didn’t ask for!

Cheers to those who shared their thoughts earlier; this definitely seems like an unwelcome call!

I've had a couple of missed calls on my private home phone today from this number. I was out and about, so I didn't pick up. It makes me wonder if this might be dodgy. How on earth did they even get hold of my number? I mean, my number isn't listed anywhere since I’m ex-directory and I’ve registered with the Telephone Preference Service. Surely, I shouldn't have to deal with calls like this!

Caution: I just had a rather dodgy call from this number, purporting to be from a so-called "computer support centre" - and let me tell you, their English was all over the shop! They were yammering on about some supposed error on my Windows management screen, attempting to convince me that they needed to install their software to "fix" the imaginary problem. Who knows what that software could actually be - I certainly didn’t take the bait! I sincerely hope this serves as a warning to others so they don't end up in the same predicament. Stay sharp!
