I received a call from a woman of Asian descent on her mobile, and then she redialled using the landline number listed above. Her manner was unexpectedly rude and quite aggressive, with her voice raised. She claimed to represent Citizens Advice, but I made it clear that I had not requested this call and found her attitude utterly unacceptable. I ended the conversation. She then rang back, quite loudly, demanding to know why I was hanging up on her, insisting that my credit rating was on the decline (????!!!). I firmly instructed her not to contact me again or I would escalate the situation, then I ended the call once more. I’ve since blocked the number. The whole interaction with this exceedingly unpleasant woman was quite distressing.

Got a call from someone claiming they were with the credit investigation department. I said, "You mean the CID?" and they said yes. They went on to say I’ve been making regular payments on debts from my mortgage and credit cards - which I don’t even have. I asked, “Is the weather nice in Skegness today, is it really warm?” and they said, “Yes ma’am.” Then I asked if they knew where Skegness was, and they said no! I told them they were actually ringing from Skegness and to send everything in writing. I’ve blocked loads of numbers, but they just keep coming back with new ones.

Just got a call like that a few minutes ago, bloke sounded like he had an Asian accent. I told him to be quiet and pay attention, he tried speaking over me again but I raised my voice. Told him to remove my number from wherever he found it. Then he hung up. I tried calling back and it said "Number not in Service". Picked up and just put the phone down cause they ring me non stop. This bloke with an English accent kept shouting "you there?" then blurted out some swear words at me. Total scam artists, absolute muppets.

Got a call from an Asian guy saying his name was Mike and that he was from Citizens Advice. When I said I didn’t want any more calls and asked him to remove me from their list, he just told me to piss off.

SCAM ALERT!!! Got a call from a woman overseas saying my name came up linked to some debt. She asked if I owed anything. Told her no and she just dropped the call!! Blocked straight away.

This debt management firm is totally dodgy, trying to clear out your bank account! These nasty scammers defo need to be looked into - please report em to the SERIOUS FRAUD OFFICE and OFCOM to keep the elderly and vulnerable safe.

I've been receiving calls from this number a minimum of twice daily for the past few weeks, and it's really starting to get on my nerves. It's rather bothersome and quite distressing, to be honest.

Sounds like this could be some kind of ISDN rigged thing, where they spoof ID numbers to scam you into paying for premium calls. Best just don’t pick up and block the number straight away.

I've had loads of calls from all sorts, some folks speaking foreign languages, others English. I totally forgot to put them on the block list! They kept insisting I was on some government site and claimed I owed loads of money, which is rubbish because I haven't got any debt. The moment I told them that, they just hung up. I've gone and blocked them now!

Got a call claiming I owed money to some bank. When I tried to find out which bank, they just told me to say it first. I kept asking who exactly I supposedly owed, but they just cut me off and ended the call. Blocked the number straight away.

I only picked up that call once and it felt pretty sketchy. I tried being polite and told the person to take my number off their list, but she just snapped back, telling me to listen to her. I gave it another go, saying I don’t owe any money and asked again to be taken off. After that, she just ended the call. I’ve blocked it now, no way I’m answering again.

I missed the call and honestly, after seeing what people are saying here, I’m really happy I didn’t answer. Blocked the number straight away! It’s ridiculous that the authorities haven’t done more to stop this kind of thing. I contacted BT about it and they told me they’ve got a filtering option for landlines, but strangely enough, they don’t offer the same for calls made to mobiles on their network. No idea why they can’t sort that out.

I got a call from 01754879544 saying I owe money. They asked for my name but I told them I’m recording this as evidence for the police. Right after that, they just ended the call. When I tried to call back, it said the number wasn’t valid. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.
