Took me about two years to get this sneaky trick down. Sure, maybe it’s a bit cheeky but it feels good knowing I’m annoying them by making them waste their time. The person called knowing the name of someone in the home, but when I asked who exactly they wanted (I couldn’t catch the first name properly), they started whispering at me, copying my hoarse voice from my throat infection. I asked if they were having a laugh, and they responded rudely before muttering a sarcastic sorry and hanging up. I’m 90 years old, so my hearing isn’t the best.
