On 29th April 2022 around 11:07 in the morning, I got a call from 01753 969550 but as soon as I answered, the person just hung up without saying a word. Felt a bit like harassment to me.

I bet if your machine actually breaks, good luck finding them again. Oh, and that bloke sounded Irish to me. Have the Indian scammers started roping in the Irish now or what?

I’ve had about seven calls since Monday afternoon all about a washing machine scam. Honestly, those fines from the Information Commissioner’s office don’t seem to put them off at all. These lot really ought to get some prison time, and if possible, be sent back to their crappy villages they came from.

Since Monday they've been ringing me about a washing machine warranty. When I said I didn't remember the brand, they told me to check it but I said no and just hung up. This was the third call from them.

A guy with an Asian accent was asking about my washing machine’s brand and age, whether I own the place or rent it, and also my age range. When I questioned why he wanted my age, he said it was to check if I qualified for certain benefits. I quickly hung up after that. Now I’m a bit uneasy they might have my personal info like my name and address.

I’ve come to the conclusion that this might be a scam! A woman rang me up, claiming she could sell me an iPhone 13 at a whopping 40% off! I was immediately suspicious and opted to pass on her tempting deal-it seemed far too fantastic to be genuine. Plus, her accent was rather unusual, which only raised my eyebrows further.

Beware of a scammer group claiming to be from fonehousecompany. They’ll take your order, but for the wrong phone, and then actually order from a real company. When the incorrect phone arrives, they tell you to send it back to a house, not a proper company address. Once you do that, both your phone and cash disappear. You’re left having to report it as fraud. Stay clear of these lot!
