01753924700 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01753924700 👆 is reported as a NHS-related service offering lung health checks and CT scans, often linked to the Lung Cancer Screening Programme for smokers or ex-smokers. Many users confirm the calls and texts are genuine, originating from local health support units, sometimes run by third-party companies. However, a number of people express concern about receiving unexpected contact without prior letters, suspecting data breaches or unauthorised sharing of NHS details. Some report persistent calls, causing confusion about legitimacy. Local GP surgeries may not always be informed beforehand, adding to doubts. Overall, while mostly seen as a valid health initiative, the lack of direct NHS communication and some aggressive third-party contact methods have led to mistrust among recipients.

Someone rang me asking if they had reached Mr (Christian Name). When I said no, they wanted to know who they’d been calling. It could be a genuine NHS thing but I’m not comfortable chatting with someone who can’t even say the right name. I’ve had texts about lung screening before but never opened any links. Weirdly, my partner’s phone buzzed from the same number at the exact time as mine. Just a heads up, be careful.

This isn’t some kind of scam like people say. It’s actually the NHS calling about a CT scan. Maybe your doctor mentioned it and sent you for one, but you just can’t remember now.

Got a couple of messages asking me to come in for a lung screening. After going through the details here, I'm feeling a bit iffy about it.

This isn’t a con at all - it’s part of the NHS Lung Cancer Screening Scheme. If your NHS records show that you’ve smoked at any point in your life, no matter how briefly or long ago, you might receive a text or letter about this. When you ring them back, they’ll ask for some simple ID details and check your GP practice. After that, they’ll run through a quick 5-10 minute Q&A to decide if you need any more tests or follow-ups.

Had my NHS Lung Health check last week and just to say it's not a scam. My local surgery didn’t seem to know about the mobile unit coming around, so don’t be surprised if yours don’t either. If you get an invite, I’d recommend going. They might do a quick CT scan which only takes about 10 minutes and doesn’t hurt at all. Definitely legit.

This has to be a con. I got a text saying my doctor suggested I get a lung test done and that I should ring this number for a phone consultation. I was suspicious straight away so I rang my doctor's office to check. The receptionist said loads of patients have been asking about it today and assured me it’s a total scam. There was a link in the message too, but I didn’t dare click on it.

Sounds legit to me. Probably a lung scan appointment. Heatherwood and Wexham outpatient services, if I’m right, are somewhere around Slough. They usually try to keep appointments nearby for patients. Doesn’t really seem like the kind of call scammers would make, lungs aren’t really their thing.

Its not the NHS calling but some outside firm that managed to nab your info from your doctors without asking you. Feels like a proper data leak to me. They keep ringin and texting non stop, which is really annoying.

I got a call from 01753 924700, and I had no clue if it was legit or a con. The woman on the line mentioned we’d receive a letter first, but we never got anything. So, I just didn’t give them any info.

I've been receiving unwanted calls from this number and it's incredibly frustrating. They purport to be affiliated with the NHS, but I can assure you that’s false. They’re just a private firm that seems to have obtained my information from some dubious channel. It’s quite alarming how easily your details can be mishandled!

Got a call from some Lung Health Service in Slough, they were checking up if I wanted a health and lung screening. Apparently my GP mentioned it might be a good idea for me. Seems like a proper legit thing.
