2 yearsI received a call earlier today from the number 01753898427. The caller inquired if I was 'so and so', to which I confirmed with a yes, as that was indeed my name. Strangely, they disconnected straight away after that!2 yearsI received a rather dodgy phone call purporting to be from O2, demanding that I verify the email linked to my account to supposedly send out a new SIM card. I pressed them repeatedly on why they required this information if it was already on file, at which point they spun some tale about data protection laws. Their persistence was troubling, insisting that my current SIM would cease to function within a week. They even provided a callback number-0208 638 5596-part of their trickery. I hung up and reached out directly to O2, who assured me they would never solicit personal information over the phone. They confirmed my details without any hassle and verified that it was indeed a scam call.2 yearsI haven't the foggiest who would be ringing from Slough, as I don't know a soul there. They didn't bother leaving a voicemail either. Quite odd, really!Slough2 yearsGot a call from someone in Slough but I don’t know any folks or companies there. They only rang for a moment and didn’t leave a voicemail, which makes me think it might have been some dodgy or scammy number. Not sure though.SloughSubmit Your Own Report (01753 898427)
