Received a call from these chaps earlier today, and it’s the same old trick. First off, he introduces himself as “James,” and then, out of the blue, claims I have an issue with my computer. I told him I didn’t have any such problem and then promptly hung up.
The trouble is, I can’t block these nuisance calls since they don’t register as “private,” withheld, or anything along those lines, and frankly, the TPS has been useless (I’ve been on the list for yonks). I was tempted to toy with him for a while, but life’s too fleeting for that. It baffles me why these individuals can’t find more constructive ways to spend their time!

Received a call from someone named "Nancy" urging me to power up my computer. Initially, I played the game and pretended to comply, but once I realised it was a scam, I expressed my disgust. Then, a man took over the call, and that’s when I decided to hang up.

I received a rather unsettling phone call earlier today, claiming that my computer had been compromised by a virus. Oddly enough, just last night I was tinkering with my ancient PC that still runs on Windows XP, and it’s about as secure as a chocolate teapot! Now I can’t shake off the nagging suspicion that perhaps the caller managed to tap into some of my information from that old machine. Is there any chance that could actually happen?

How on earth are these despicable con artists managing to pull this off? It’s absolutely infuriating that such lowly thieves can escape unscathed!

Received a rather dodgy call today from a gentleman with a distinctly foreign accent, likely hailing from a call centre somewhere in the East. He claimed it was in relation to my computer, to which I promptly replied I didn’t own one. He then switched gears and mentioned a laptop instead. I reiterated that I had neither a computer nor a laptop, and never have! The chap then apologised for bothering me and promptly ended the call. Right from the start, I had an inkling it was a scam-having perused similar tales on various forums and noticing the rather suspicious delay before they responded after I picked up.

I received a rather dubious call from someone claiming to be with a firm named Technical Help Service or Helpline. They attempted to persuade me that my computer was infected, asking me to run through a few checks with them. However, as it became apparent that I was more clued-up about computers than he anticipated, he abruptly ended the call. It felt like a feeble imitation of the notorious "Windows Technical Support" scam. Do exercise caution with this number!

I received a call from a chap who claimed my computer was experiencing some sort of technical glitch. When I inquired how he could possibly know this, considering he had no way to access my device, he responded rather vaguely that it was something everyone encounters. At that point, I decided to end the conversation and hang up. Just a couple of minutes later, he was ringing me again!

I received a call from a so-called technical support number, and they insisted I let them guide me through inspecting my computer to remove pesky software. It soon became apparent that the conversation would inevitably lead to him requesting payment. He even mentioned they would be ringing 'everyone' to offer this same 'service'! Quite the busy chap, wasn’t he? In the end, I turned down his offer but managed to keep him on the line for more than six minutes just to spare others from falling for this time-wasting scam!

"Good day, I'm Nancy from the tech support line, reaching out regarding your computer issues." "OH DO P*** OFF!" *Dial tone.*

Received a call from a so-called computer whiz, claiming there were issues with my PC that needed fixing. Total scam, if you ask me. The voice sounded oddly synthetic, almost as if it was being altered in some way.
