I received a pre-recorded message claiming to be a call for someone named Pauline Underwood. It prompted me to press 1 if I was her, or 2 if I wasn’t. After listening to that nonsense, I decided to hang up and promptly block the number. Total waste of time!

On the 4th of November, at approximately 16:35, we received a phone call from a gentleman with an Indian accent, claiming to be inquiring about our computer. My wife, quick to sense something was amiss, labeled him a con artist and promptly ended the call.

I too received a call from an Asian gentleman regarding my computer/laptop. What are the steps we can take to have this scammer apprehended?

I received a call from a man of Indian descent using this number, insisting he was addressing some Microsoft-related problems concerning nuisance applications. He urged me to be at my computer and grant him remote access! Quite insistent he was, but I firmly stated I had no interest in his dubious offer, and after a bit of back-and-forth, he moved along to try his luck with someone else.

A woman with an Asian accent called earlier, completely butchered my name. She asked me to sit at my computer so she could assist in removing some viruses. I couldn’t help but chuckle and asked her if she really thought I was that gullible. I then ended the call. Quite remarkable that the number wasn't private either...

I had a rather dubious phone call from someone purporting to be a "PC Support technician." It had all the hallmarks of a well-known scam. Quite suspicious, I decided to look into it further, and sure enough, the number traced back to the same dodgy caller.

I've just received a phone call claiming there were issues with my computer. The caller insisted that I should access my PC while conversing with him. I firmly stated that I had no interest in his offer as I recognized it as a scam. He attempted to convince me of his authenticity, but I reiterated my disinterest, and eventually, he hung up.

Received a call this evening from a chap who claimed to be a legitimate computer technician. He told my wife that he was there to fix a problem with our phone line that was supposedly leaving our computer vulnerable to hackers. Seemed quite authentic, especially since his only request was for her to power up the computer and grant him remote access. My wife, however, had a clever response and decided that she could handle the so-called issue herself, promptly ending the conversation. I suspect they might ring again, and if they do, I’ll be the one picking up the phone-my patience isn't quite the same as hers!

Received a call from this number around midday today. I chose not to pick up, and they didn't leave any voicemail.

An Indian chap rang me claiming there was an issue with my computer that he was more than willing to assist with. When I inquired if he intended to remote into my system to potentially snoop on my banking information and passwords, he chuckled, insisting that he operates "offline," thus negating any chance of accessing such sensitive data. I can't stress this enough-don't fall for it! Just hang up and save yourself the trouble!

I received a call from someone with an accent that sounded Indian or Pakistani, who was attempting to coerce me into granting access to my computer under the pretense that it was infected with a virus. I promptly told him where to shove it!

I had no clue whose number it was, and when the answering machine came on, they abruptly cut the line without leaving a message. Just another entry to my ever-expanding catalogue of calls we choose to ignore!
