I got a call pretending to be TALKTALK about my internet router. The person on the phone wanted me to switch on my laptop so they could guide me through fixing the router by making me install TEAMVIEWER. They said it was so they could remotely sort it out, but really they’d get access to all my data. I told them I knew it was a scam and said I’d be checking the number from SLOUGH they called from before hanging up. Just a heads up, your computer might already have remote access enabled, so look it up and turn it off if you’re not using it - it’s often on by default.

Got a call from a supposed Talk Talk number, but it was a total scam. Best just to ignore and block it straight away.

Some lady rang me claiming she was from Talk Talk, saying there was something wrong with my router. She told me to turn on my computer. I told her I’d call her back, but she said “no call back” and just ended the call.
