I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT Openreach. He said something like my internet looked fine now but they wanted to double check because of all the scammers and hackers out there. Then he asked me to stand near my router so they could "check" or something. I wasn’t having it and ended the call straight away. The number was actually from Patiala, Punjab in India.

Received a call I didn't ask for, even though I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service. The caller claimed to be discussing my internet service. I ended the conversation promptly, as I simply don't engage with unexpected calls.
