I ordered something to the UK and it’s been stuck in the Netherlands for over a month now. From what I see, the package is still in Amsterdam, but Aliexpress tracking says it’s clearing customs there. How is that even possible if it’s meant to come to the UK? The Royal Mail tracking just confirms it’s in the Netherlands. I placed my order on 24th September 2021, but the status has been stuck on "The item has arrived in the country of destination" since 22nd October 2021. Not sure what's going on with the delivery.

I placed my order on November 12th and got a message on the 21st saying it had reached the UK. After that, the usual vague updates everyone’s been talking about showed up. Today, on December 2nd, I finally saw that Royal Mail had the parcel at their depot and it should be delivered in the next few days. From my experience buying from AliExpress over the last year, if the tracking says “Arrived at destination country,” it usually just means it’s still being shipped over. The parcel is really in the UK once the status changes to something like “Arrived at facility” or “Customs cleared,” and then delivery happens within about a week. I reckon they use “Arrived at destination country” to calm people down, even though the item’s probably still on a cargo ship, not a plane. Don’t stress though, it normally arrives around the estimated date (mine was supposed to be 4th Dec).

I found this exact number linked to my order on AliExpress, and it pops up on both 17TRACK and the parcels app, but 17TRACK seems quicker with updates. I also got a card through my letterbox with the same number, but weirdly, it doesn’t show up on any tracking sites, not even Royal Mail. Has anyone actually gone to pick up their parcel? Usually, goods shipped from China used to arrive via economic mail or by container vessels, which often took around 30 to 60 days. But since the pandemic, a lot of Chinese sellers have changed the way they ship. Now they often use firms like 4PX, who air freight to their UK hubs. You really don’t need to ring the number you might see - it’s just there in case you’re anxious about tracking or delays. I’ve ordered more than 40 times, and everything turned up quickly - mostly between 5 to 14 days. Keep in mind that it can take about 5 days for the courier to collect the parcel from the seller, another 2 or 3 days in transit to the UK, around 2 days to clear customs, then 1 or 2 days for delivery depending on where you live. Don’t ask sellers to mark items as low value or ‘gifts’, especially from China, as these often get flagged and may be held up for inspection. Also, if customs find any discrepancies in declarations, it’s the buyer who risks fines, not the seller.

I'm dealing with the exact same problem and it's so confusing. My package got to Heathrow on the 13th, then somehow sent back to China, and now the airline has it again as of today?! The seller's no use at all, keeps telling me to ring the post office, but the number they gave me is actually for a hairdresser in East London 😂 I had 4 parcels all land at Heathrow on the same day, and only one turned up 4 days later, so no idea what's happening with the rest.

A few days ago, I found a Royal Mail red card left at my door, so I guessed it might have something to do with that. Like a few others here, I found out it's a delivery number from Ali Express. What worked for me was taking the tracking code which finishes with GB (something like QR56477729GB) and putting it into Royal Mail’s tracking site. I got a message on AliExpress saying there was an exception, so I checked Royal Mail and saw they’d tried to deliver but failed. I’ve now asked for them to try again. Something I noticed was my address says "new delivery address", so maybe the label got messed up, but when I gave them my address properly through the redelivery form it should be sorted. Definitely worth copying your tracking number and using the Royal Mail page to see exactly what’s going on.

I placed an order on 4th November and it supposedly got to the UK on the 13th at Heathrow, but Royal Mail's tracking just shows it arrived on 6th November at 10:22am with no real updates. Then, strangely, on 15th November it says the item is still being checked by Chinese customs? It's now 27th November and nothing new has come up. I contacted the seller, and they said it’s stuck at the destination airport and I just have to wait. Has anyone else experienced something like this? About a year back I had some trouble with a parcel from Ali - they sent it to the wrong place and even admitted their mistake. Didn’t bother chasing a refund because, frankly, I won the item for just 1p and wasn’t even sure what it was! Oi, have you tried looking up your tracking number on parcelsapp? What’s it showing for you? Mine on Royal Mail’s tracking just says last update was 22/10/21 - Sender dispatching item. But parcelsapp shows something different, last update on 12/11/21 saying it’s in transit going through the post network at London Heathrow Airport. Thing is, it hasn’t moved since then. I reckon it’s stuck at the Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre, you know, the main hub for Royal Mail’s international deliveries. It’s located in Langley, near Slough. I’m dealing with something similar here... got a parcel from October 25th that’s marked as Received by the courier. There’s a number to call for more info but when I check the tracking it just says Arrived at destination country. I’ve got about 10 other parcels coming, a few have already turned up fine, even ones I ordered after the one that’s stuck. This number is usually what AliExpress hands out when they’re clueless about where your parcel actually is. I reckon it might not even be a real number, or maybe it’s shared between loads of customers. It’s typical of how things roll in China - keeping up appearances is key. I suspect it’s just some kind of weird glitch in their tracking, but usually your order turns up eventually.

I’ve never dealt with this sort of hassle with AE before, but this time, my 4 parcels that were sent as one combined package showed up at Tyneside MC - last update was on 12 Nov saying they’re on the way to local delivery, then just nothing afterwards. The AE tracking says they can’t deliver because the phone number is wrong. I’ve tried every RM number I could find but nearly all just had automated answers, no luck at all. I’ve messaged all four sellers, asking if the address is right, but since I’ve bought from them over the years it’s their fault if the address is wrong! Just going round and round with no solution, and I still have over 50 days to wait before filing a claim. Always pay via PP so refund should be alright in the end.

THIS NUMBER BELONGS TO A CUSTOMS OFFICE AT HEATHROW AND NO ONE PICKS UP WHEN YOU CALL Don’t worry, your parcel will still arrive within the usual delivery time. It’s just that it has to go through customs clearance first. They're swamped atm because loads of stuff is running short across the UK and are doing their best. If there’s any issue, get in touch with whoever you bought it from. Just to let you know, I've got all my packages that’ve been held there since late October :) Hope this clears things up!

I gave parcelsapp a go and it showed me loads more details... For a package I got a few days back, the tracking had over 30 updates from various couriers. The newest parcel I’m waiting on had no updates for about 6 days, but it finally got refreshed last night and is now at RM. I didn’t know 4PX and CAINIAO handled the delivery even though I picked AE standard shipping, not CAINIAO. Hopefully, you get your parcel soon too!

The tracking hasn't updated a bit and it's already 12th November now. I've messaged the seller to check what’s going on but haven’t heard back yet. This hasn't happened to me before since I usually shop there all the time. Anyone got any tips?

I've been waiting on an AE package here in the UK for a few days now, but the Royal Mail tracking doesn’t show anything except that the number is legit. So, it’s either gone missing or just sitting somewhere waiting to be passed along to Royal Mail. From my experience, the AE deliveries that say 10 days seem to actually arrive, so I reckon it's safer to choose those ones.

I had chosen the 10 day delivery option for my order but, like many others, it’s been stuck since 25th October. The Royal Mail tracking just states they’re expecting a parcel, but there’s been no further info at all.

The parcel gets held up at a transfer centre, and it can take a while for customs to sort everything out. While that's happening, you won't see any new tracking updates. The seller told me this info.

I was told to start a dispute with Aliexpress to get the seller moving and figure out what’s happening. Why are all the packages from the 25th just sitting there? I reckon they might’ve been messed with, especially since I usually order jewellery which probably attracts dodgy people!

I’ve been checking my tracking and it’s been saying my parcel’s been at the depot since October 25th. Tried ringing but the line’s constantly engaged. When I finally got through to Royal Mail, they told me the parcel never actually reached them, just that the seller sent a notice it was on its way. Honestly, I’m not sure what to do next...

I’m in the same boat, my parcel appears to have been held up at the Langley customs sorting place since 25th October. They gave me some pointless number to ring but no luck getting through at all. Told the seller I’ll open a dispute if it doesn’t turn up by the end of this week. Honestly, AliExpress has become such a pain - there’s always something wrong!

When something you bought on AliExpress hits customs, they usually provide a number to call. About three days after that, the tracking info typically changes to show it’s either with the delivery crew or has cleared customs. Then, the following day, Royal Mail tracking gets updated, but it’s often just a timestamp with hardly any info. That’s when a 48hr delivery window kicks in, so you can expect your parcel to arrive around two days after that. This has happened to me on four separate occasions now.

I’ve tried ringing this number a few times but never got through. When I got in touch with Royal Mail, they told me my parcel has already been sent to a UK delivery centre where they’ve created a tracking number. From there, it’ll be passed on to Royal Mail for final delivery to me. I looked up the tracking on AliExpress and it says to ring this number, but the last update was on 5 November. I’ve messaged the seller to sort it out, otherwise I’m thinking of opening a dispute. The annoying thing is, because it’s a combined shipment, this mess has dragged in two other parcels from different sellers that shouldn’t be affected.

I got the same message for both my AliExpress parcels. A few days back, when the tracking showed that, I rang the number but got a busy tone. I let it go and checked Royal Mail’s tracking instead, and it said the parcel was on the move to me. Seems like AliExpress tracking isn’t updated with Royal Mail’s info properly. Mine arrived today, so just hang on - it should come eventually 😊

I've got two packages I'm waiting on. One's been sitting at the depot since 25th October, and the other arrived there on 5th November. Funny thing is, the one from the 5th suddenly showed a Royal Mail update saying they've received it. But the older parcel? No clue what's going on. I keep checking these comments to see if anyone else has gotten deliveries that have been stuck since late October. I’ll post an update if I hear anything more. I got an email from Ali Express saying they couldn't deliver my package and to ring this number. Tried calling it loads of times but either no reply or just busy signals. The email had a Royal Mail tracking number too, so I checked it on their website and saw they had tried to deliver yesterday but didn’t manage, now it says it’s out for delivery today. Fingers crossed it turns up soon!

Like others have said, this is about a parcel from Ali Express. The tracking showed on 25th October 2021 that the item was "Picked up by the courier. For info, ring 01753 484554". Royal Mail can't give any info since they don't have it in their hands yet. If no one picks up when you call, I suppose the parcel is just in limbo. I’ll hang on until the delivery timeframe ends, then lodge a complaint with Ali about the undelivered item.

I got a message telling me to ring that number too. When I rang, it just kept ringing or was busy. So, I left it for a few days and then checked my tracking again. It finally updated saying Royal Mail had it at the main sorting centre and it would be on its way shortly. Now I’m just waiting for it to arrive.

AliExpress as usual... My package hasn't moved since the 25th October (now it's 9th Nov) and Royal Mail only show it as "dispatched by sender". Nothing else at all. Has anyone else been stuck on the message "Received by the delivery company. For more info call 01753 484554"? How long did that last for you? At what point should I just stop waiting? Feels like forever!
