Got a call from someone claiming to be with o2 saying I could upgrade my phone. I flipped it on them and said, "Are you aware I'm actually here to chat about your car's extended warranty?" Not sure they appreciated the joke because the call dropped super quickly after that!

Got a call today from 02, said they're Virgin Media, sounded dodgy if you ask me. Watch out, could be a scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were with the ‘public health department’ wanting to ask about my covid jab. Seemed a bit fishy to me.

First they would head back to the login page and request the verification code again, then call the person and ask for the code, after which they’d return to the login to finish the process. That’s how they end up getting into the account. When it happened to me, the very first move was to change the password, but that backfired because I got a notification about the password change which tipped me off to the scam. Under no circumstances should you share these texted codes with anyone - not even with staff from the company.

Pretty sneaky scam this one is. They take advantage of the new way banks confirm your identity by texting a security code. Basically, they try to log into your account, and as soon as the system sends a code, they ring you up pretending to be from a trusted company. They might offer a deal or something and then say, "to make sure you really are who you say you are," they’ll send you a code... and then it carries on from there.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, saying they'd block my SIM unless I switched to their new 5G one. I just told them okay, go on then. That really threw her off, haha. The funny thing is, I don’t even have an O2 SIM at all!

I’d steer clear of this number if I were you; it's best to block it as it appears to be a scam.

They’ve been ringing nonstop all week, always from different numbers, acting like they’re from O2. Such a pain!

They called saying they were from O2, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t true. Felt dodgy from the start!

Received a call earlier today claiming that my O2 SIM card was set to be disabled, and that they’d be dispatching a replacement. It all seemed rather dubious, especially since they couldn’t confirm basic details that I’d assume O2 would be familiar with. So, I decided to end the conversation. Interestingly, there hasn't been any official correspondence from O2, either through the mail or on their website, to back up their claims.

I got a call on my mobile, which is on the phone preference list. The caller had a polite manner but spoke with an Asian accent and said they were from O2. Total scammer. I blocked the number straight away - don’t let these dodgy people mess about with your time!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from O2, asking me for details about a new sim. I kept pushing back and told them their number’s flagged as suspicious and being looked into because they might be a scammer. After a bit of insisting, they actually admitted they were a scammer lol. Needless to say, I blocked the number straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2 saying my number was about to be disconnected. I mentioned I actually use a different network, but they just kept insisting my number would be cut off. So I just ended the call.

I chose not to pick up since it showed up as spam. The call diverted to voicemail and all I heard was heavy breathing. Sounds like one of those call centre agents from somewhere in Asia who don’t seem to realise they’ve been connected to an automatic dialer. Definitely not what you’d expect from a proper company with a genuine reason to call...
