Teleperformance is basically a company that outsources for loads of different projects, and since it's all home-based, it’s definitely not a scam. They handle stuff like Student Loans, DWP, Passports, and Banking, among others. When you call the number back and hear the recorded message, it might seem a bit dodgy, but honestly, it’s all above board. I’m employed by them on a banking call centre campaign myself.

I got a call from this number, turns out it’s linked to Teleperformance working for the NHS Blood Service campaign - maybe even other projects too. Every now and then, there’s a glitch with the NHSBT proxy system, so calls come from this number rather than the regular 0300 one. So yeah, it’s a genuine caller.

I got a call from a woman with a Nigerian accent who sounded like she was half asleep. She claimed to be from TP and said I needed to verify my identity through a video call, promising to send me a link. I told her I didn’t have any appointment on a Saturday and found it weird she’d call on the weekend when the office should be shut. She never actually sent the link. Just a heads up, make sure you keep your personal info safe and double-check with the official company. If something feels off, it probably is. Don’t risk your ID!

I got a call from a person speaking with an African accent, saying they were from the passport office nearby and wanted my passport details. The number didn’t look familiar or local at all. When I asked where exactly they were ringing from, they just gave a dodgy excuse about not being able to say. Got three voicemails today from these scammers, pestering me for private financial info with zero legit reason - clearly up to no good. I ended the call when the woman wouldn’t share where she got my number or her company details. Then, straight away, I deleted the messages and BLOCKED the number. Honestly, I’d suggest you do the same. There’s too many dodgy criminals out there, and these fraudsters are no different. Steer well clear of this number!

Got a call from these lot again, like moments after I blocked their number! Proper creepy how persistent they are. This time they pretended to be from the DWP, but I’ve never had any benefits claim, so no idea how they got my mobile. I’m pretty careful about who I share it with, just family and close mates. This number has called me twice now. The first time I ignored it since it showed as coming from Slough, a place I don’t know anyone in. They hung up quickly without leaving any voicemail. I know Slough has quite a few telesales companies based there, so that’s probably what this is. Definitely don’t think it’s the passport office, I haven’t had any dealings with them in ages. Plus, whenever the Blood Donor service has rung me before, they’ve always used a freephone number starting with 03. All things considered, I’m guessing it’s just another scam call from cold callers.

Keeps leaving voicemails, but the call always cuts out or mumbles the name. They claim it's regarding an online report of some sort, saying it’s about to be closed due to their inability to reach me. Apparently, a text or email will follow with further instructions! I could swear I’ve picked up the phone before only for them to hang up straight away. I’ve seen other comments stating this number is linked to the genuine Passport Office, yet I can’t fathom why they’d need to get in touch. I’ve had like 8 missed calls in a week from this number. I’m not from the UK and don’t have a British passport, so I don’t see why HMPO would be trying to reach me. Seems dodgy to me, if it was legit they could easily get in touch by email or a letter, no need to keep ringing.

Not long after I reported my passport as missing, I received a call from someone who posed as a member of the passport office. I nearly got roped in, but there was something in the woman’s tone that raised my suspicions. I promptly contacted the official passport office to inform them about the suspicious call.

I double-checked by ringing the official 0300 HM Passport Office number from a landline rather than my mobile, and it turned out this was a legit call from the specific office sorting my application. After the call ended, I also got a text and email with a reference number for my replacement passport, which made it clear the call was genuine even before I contacted HMPO myself.

I got a call from this number like right after I told the government my passport was stolen. I put my phone number on their site and then they called me and left a voicemail acting like they were from the passport office. Don’t pick up or share any info. Total scam!!!

I got a message from this number saying I needed to pay £1.45 or my parcel from Royal Mail would be sent back. There was a link too, but I didn’t tap on it because it felt a bit dodgy - I figured Royal Mail wouldn’t do it like that plus I wasn’t expecting any deliveries. They claimed to be from the HM Passport Office. I got 3 texts and 3 calls. My son reported his passport stolen just last week. When I tried calling back, it said Blue Chip company. The last call this morning was from someone with an Indian accent asking to talk to my son. I gave his first name, asked for the caller’s surname, then the line got cut off.

I called the genuine passport office number from the official government site after spotting this number come up following my lost passport report. The woman I spoke to said she didn't know that number and confirmed it’s not one they use. I got a call from this number the day after I submitted a report online about my passport on Gov.com. Luckily, I didnt pick up! (I kinda expected them to ring back) After playing the voicemail a few times - it was hard to understand 'cause the guy spoke really quietly with a thick Scottish accent. I’m not sure why loads of people are leaving bad reviews about this number. When I got a call, it was from the nhs blood donation team. I managed to book an appointment and they barely asked for any personal details. Plus, ive just received a proper nhs email confirmation too, even though they didn’t ask me for my email on the call. So yeah, looks legit to me, definitely not a scam.

got a missed call but no message on the answerphone. Reading through other posts, if someone said they were from the Passport Office, it sounds like a total scam. I’m not from the UK and didn’t have any reason to hear from the Passport Office anyway. Best thing is to treat the number as dodgy and block it straight away.

I'm not 100% sure if it's a scam or not, but when it comes to passport info, it’s best not to pick up if you don’t recognise the caller. Much safer to contact the official helpline directly for help.

Looks like it’s supposed to be HMPO. I was expecting a phone call from them and saw 4 missed calls from this number. When I tried ringing back, it said it belonged to blue chip companies. I also got in touch with HMPO via another official number and they told me that number isn’t theirs. Definitely a scam.
