Got a call on 15th July from a bloke asking about some washing machine warranty, mentioned something like PPU as the company. He kept pressing me for my husband's bank card expiry date, but I didn’t feel comfortable sharing that info. Then he got all annoyed and just cut the call off. Could hear others chatting in the background too. Pretty sure it was a scam.

On Wednesday 15th July at about 4:57 pm, someone rang but since they didn’t say who they were when they got our answering machine, we just left it unanswered.

The BT Guardian alert was left, but apparently, my phone couldn’t make sense of it since the caller was an automated number. So, no voicemail or anything got through.

Got a call from some bloke with a British accent, said his name was 'Alfie'. He was yakking about my washing machine’s 'expired breakdown cover' or something like that. Didn't ask for the call, obviously one of those random cold calls even though I’m signed up with that useless TPS thing. Proper cheeky of 'Alfie'. Definitely adding him to my block list now.

They called me saying it was about my washing machine warranty and somehow they already had every bit of my info. Then they wanted me to pay using a credit card, which felt off because I usually pay by direct debit. When I asked about that, he asked for bank details, which I found odd since they should already have that. I refused to share, and then he just ended the call. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.
