Some bloke with an Asian accent rang me, warning that there was a transfer about to go through from my bank account. When I asked for details, like which account it was exactly, he just said my current one. He couldn’t even specify the bank or the sort code. I gave him a proper mouthful before he abruptly cut me off. This was the second dodgy call in like five minutes, and right after that, the phone rang again with another one. Funny how BT’s new AI tech doesn’t seem to be stopping any of these annoying scams!
