Got a call from BT local business today, bit earlier than expected though. We were told to expect a follow-up on Monday after a previous chat with another BT person. We explained then that we wasn’t ready to switch to VOIP until our internet was more reliable. Instead, they phoned us around midday on Sunday and even left a voicemail. Seems like no one at BT local business is aware of the migration deal for customers like us, or the priority card BT gave us years ago. Bit of a mess really.

Looks like this is some local BT biz, attempting to boost sales by shifting us to a VOIP setup. They’ve rung us loads of times, and despite telling them to quit, they called again just seconds after we said we weren’t interested. Then they even tried our mobile after hitting our voicemail. We’ve even reached out to our local MP to look into these annoying calls.

SCAM! Some bloke pretending to be from BT Business in Plymouth rang me saying our contract had to be renewed before 1st June. I found it fishy since he called my mobile and, despite being polite, he was quite pushy and kept saying it was urgent to get the best deal. I decided to ring the BT number on our bill instead. Turns out our contract was indeed up for renewal, but BT never made any calls to us! Glad I dodged this scam!

Some bloke said he was from BT but didn’t know my name, account number or even my email. I shouted back quite firmly and told him exactly where to stick his scam. I called back about 20 minutes later and it all sounded very BT, but this time the guy I spoke to said sorry and said it really was BT - he even knew my name and address. If that’s true, I told him they seriously need to sort themselves out and act professional because right now it just sounds like a load of BS. Until they get it together, he can jog on.

Who rang me? Beats me. Some woman said she was Ann from BT Local Business, talking about Openreach stopping Featureline services and moving numbers over to a new one. But she called my mobile, not the landline she was asking about. Then she gave me a different Plymouth (01752) number, said it was her direct line to ring back. Haven't bothered yet, and since I still get paper bills, I don’t see why they didn’t just send a letter.

Got a call this morning claiming to be from BT about problems with shortages and line outputs - I told him we’re a company and our comms provider sorts this stuff, so he was just wasting his time ringing us. He just laughed, said I clearly didn’t understand, then hung up on me.

Got a bloke on the phone claiming he was from BT, but he was proper rude from the start. When I told him we ain’t with BT, he just got worse. He started banging on about some changes to our setup or something. Nathan from BT just won’t give up ringing me. He’s saying he can sort out a better deal on my business phone and broadband since my contract ended. Then he popped back saying it’d be only £1.80 a month! When I told him that’s basically useless, he switched it up and now keeps calling my mobile, pushing me to switch my home line and broadband to business to save money... yeah right! Honestly, proper stubborn bloke. Ended up having to block his number.

I got a call from bt local business services but it wasn’t really bt, more like a third party. They said they were from bt, but it ended up being Coastel Communications Limited - a fairly new company started in Jan 2018 that provides stuff like bt internet and voip. The caller was polite and not super pushy which made it better than usual. Maybe it could be handy info for some, but not for me personally. Whether what they said about dodgy internet and line upgrades is legit or not, you’ll have to check that out on your own.

Last night, we were trying to get some shut-eye when our phone rang with a lengthy call. As soon as we tried to call back, there was this ridiculous option for number four just to escape that high-pitched, overly chirpy voice from BT. The sales rep we spoke to, named Moss, got rather frosty when we expressed our annoyance. I received a rather lengthy call on our phone while I was trying to catch some much-needed sleep. The moment I called back, I was met with a rather tedious automated option - number four, to be precise. It was a bizarre experience, with a chipper jingle blaring about some ecstatic lady, all while I was stuck listening to an utterly uninspired robotic voice. When I dared to voice my dissatisfaction, the operator, Moss, seemed rather irritable. It turns out it was BT's Business sales team, so honestly, they can expect to get what’s coming to them!
