Got a call from a woman claiming to be an energy consultant. She was going on about how my insulation might be risky and said I could get a free check-up. I listened for a bit then said there was no point because I don’t even have an attic.

Every day it’s something new, as if as soon as I block one number another pops up! I just cut off the call as soon as it switches to voicemail. So annoying!

I answered the phone but it cut off right away. There’s been quite a few calls like this coming through recently. My guess is it’s either some scammer or one of those automated calls blasting out marketing messages to loads of people. Since I’m on the Telephone Preference Service, I’m definitely going to report this number to Ofcom or the ICO.

Got a call from this number, and a lady started going on about some scam linked to home insulation, claiming she was from 'energy providers'. When I pressed her asking which company she was representing, she just brushed it off and kept pushing her spiel. After I repeated the question a couple more times, she just dropped the call. Definitely sounds dodgy. The voice was English, with a bit of a hoarse Thames Valley accent.

Some woman rang up claiming to be from a home energy firm, telling me that the insulation in my loft was apparently illegal according to the government. I told her I didn’t even have a loft, so how could she know what kind of insulation was up there? She just talked over me and when I tried to question her again, she ended up hanging up on me.

She was talkin' in a regional accent about a "free inspection" 'cause apparently old insulation can be bad for your health. When I questioned her with some confusing replies, she just hung up on me. Feels like it's one of those dodgy calls that could mess with people who don't know any better.

Got a call around 4:50 pm from a number I didn’t know, so I didn’t bother answering. When I looked it up later, turns out it was from some scammer.

Got a call about a 'free survey' for loft insulation, sounded like a scam to me. It was this recorded message from a woman with a thick SE England accent, but you could tell it was some kind of AI behind it. When I called it out for being a bot, the response was all messed up and it even paused awkwardly - proper funny! It said something like, “What, sorry?” like it had no clue what I'd said. Classic!
