Got a ring from this number earlier, looked it up here then decided to block it straight away.

Somebody called me claiming my laptop was infected and running slow, asked if I was near the computer and told me to press the Windows key. Sometimes I play along, but this time I told him I knew it was a con. He got really rude and started swearing, said he wouldn’t hang up and that he could see me through my webcam (which was off and the laptop was in another room!). I just let him ramble, put the phone down, and made myself a cuppa. At least he wasn’t bothering anyone else while on the line with me. After a while, I hung up and blocked the number.

Some bloke called Frank rang me, going on about my computer - which I don’t even have! I told him to do one and ended the call sharpish. Smells like one of them scams trying to nick your personal stuff 😠

I’ve had loads of calls from this number lately but never picked up. They never bother to leave a message either. If they want to seem trustworthy, leaving a voicemail would be a good start.

Received an annoying call from a company named Global Network, situated in Plymouth. The person on the line said they were ringing regarding my network system. I decided to end the call immediately.

They rang me up asking if I was still using Windows 7. When I told them I wasn’t, he just chuckled and insisted I was. Quite weird really!

Got a call from some bloke saying he was with Global support and there was an issue with my PC. Total scam. I just said I don’t even own a computer and he ended the call straight away.

Some bloke called saying he was from Microsoft and wanted to look at my computer. I asked him to send me a text so I could be sure he was legit. He acted like he didn’t know how to text and asked "how can I text you?" I told him he already had my number. Then he just went quiet, asked what I meant, and when I explained the call was being recorded, he hung up straight away.

Got a call from some bloke claiming he was tech support, saying my computer had a virus and needed my assistance to fix it. I told him my PC hasn’t even worked for ages and he just ended the call straight away. I looked up the number online and it’s apparently linked to JUMBO'S AMUSEMENT CENTRE in Plymouth, which seemed odd. When I tried ringing back, it was busy, probably because he’s off trying to scam more folks. Strange lot.

Got a call from this guy who sounded like he was calling from some call centre in India. He started going on about a virus on my laptop or computer that I supposedly just downloaded and said he needed to fix it right away. I told him that can’t be true since my laptop’s at my office and I don’t even have a PC at home. Then he just ended the call on me.
