I received a rather alarming phone call from someone insisting that I had an unpaid tax debt. They went as far as to warn me about the possibility of an arrest warrant being issued in my name if I didn't respond to their persistent calls. It was quite unsettling! In the end, I decided to block the number and report the incident to the authorities.

looks like a call centre to me, ive noticed a bunch of similar numbers reported here, all pretty close with just the final couple digits switched up. dont know who they are, didnt leave any voicemail or message. i usually dont pick up calls from numbers i dont know, so i tried googling this number before but couldnt find anything. anyone actually managed to pick up and find out who it was?

This number rings me about three times daily, maybe even more. The first time they called, I picked up and said “hello” a couple of times but they just ended the call. It’s really irritating how often they keep calling. I’ve tried answering a few times to tell them I’m not interested, but they always hang up as soon as I say hello. Now I just ignore the calls, but they still won’t stop phoning!

Got a call from someone claiming I owed back taxes - total scam. Just hung up and didn’t bother calling back. Told the tax office and the police about it just to be safe. Don’t fall for it!

Received a call while I was busy at work, but they didn’t bother to leave a message. I’m taking that as a sign this could be either a dodgy telemarketer or some sort of spam. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number just to be safe.
