I just saw I missed a call from Allen on my phone. After going through the comments here, I’ve decided to block the number.

They kept ringing me like 2 or 3 times daily, even after I told them to stop calling. Then out of nowhere, after about three months, they’re back again!

Before you get all angry and start shouting at cold callers, imagine if that was the only work you could find. I get that they can be annoying, but a polite “no thanks” and then hang up is probably the best way to handle it.

Got a call from someone saying I could get money back if my pension was handled unfairly or something like that. It all sounded a bit dodgy, just some sales pitch about claiming cash. Didn't really go into much detail, just kept repeating the same stuff over and over. Seems like one of those scams to me, so I just hung up.

they’re definitely not from the pension office, pension helpline or pension review team. the folks ringing you up are basically lead generators for other firms, usually reading from a script and filling out some crm tool with all the info they collect. not every task they do is dodgy, so getting angry won’t really help since they’re not personally trying to rip you off, their paycheck is about all they get. just be firm and say no thanks, appreciate the call, then end the call.

Got a call from this number on my phone at 11:53 this morning. I've just blocked it so it won’t bother me again.
