I received a call from someone speaking with a thick accent, which sounded like it might be Indian, purporting to be from Google Internet Security. He claimed my internet licence was at risk and that hackers were allegedly using my account for nefarious activities. He urged me to power on my computer immediately. Not wanting to engage, I promptly hung up and blocked the number using the 1572 service. To my surprise, he rang me back from a different number almost straight away. When I inquired about his location, he stated he was in California but failed to provide any specific office details. I decided to cut off the conversation once more and blocked that number too. This pattern continued, with him calling from various numbers like 01887221495, 01962854353, 01495272877, 01962856666, and 0175291103. It's apparent they are cycling through different numbers, so each time one is blocked, another pops up. Quite the hassle!
