Got a call on my landline from a woman’s voice that sounded like a proper automated message, said it was from TalkTalk, my internet provider. She warned my broadband would be cut off soon and told me to press 1 to stop the disconnection or press 2 to go ahead with it. Seemed dodgy to me, so I pressed 1 and the line went dead straight away. Rang TalkTalk up and they told me it was definitely a scam.

I’ve had this number ring me a few times, but whenever I pick up, there’s nothing on the other end and then it just cuts off.
