Got a ring from this number, some bloke said there was dodgy stuff happening on my internet connection! Total scam if you ask me.

On the 19th of August 2019, I took a call on my home phone, yet I couldn’t quite discern the name of the business on the other end. They were attempting to peddle a maintenance plan for white goods, claiming it would be cheaper than my current deal-which, frankly, was a load of nonsense. The chap insisted that if I agreed over the phone, they would send the documents out to me within five days. I was well aware this was a dodgy call, but I decided to humour him for a bit. He pressed me to give my consent immediately, implying he already had my name and address, which made me suspect the next request would be for my bank details. I firmly told him that I wouldn’t commit to anything without reviewing the paperwork first. At that point, he abruptly hung up on me. Remarkably, just thirty minutes later, my mobile rang with another call from 01778347644. I couldn’t place the caller, either.

I got a call on my mobile on the 16th of August at 6:36 PM, and it struck me as rather dodgy. I don’t recognise the number at all.
