I picked up this number - 01749899001 - and there was just silence on the other end. Earlier today, I noticed 3 calls from what showed as International numbers. When answering those, I got a recorded message saying it was from "Amazon Prime." Seems like these scammers might be switching up their approach this time.

Don't bother trying to talk to this number 01749899001, its Amazon scammers. They hang up on you straight away and then block the number. Best to just ignore and block them first.

I got a call from someone claiming there was a £39.99 Amazon offer. They wanted to know if I let anyone else use my account and asked for my phone number. When I asked why they needed it, the caller, who sounded Asian, just ended the call. Definitely wasn’t an automated message.
