Today, I got a rather dodgy phone call featuring a pre-recorded woman, who had quite an American twang. She was on about two payments of £300 each that had supposedly been taken from my credit card to Amazon, along with a whopping £1,100 transfer to some overseas account. The message urged me to hit 1 to confirm these payments or 2 if I wanted to replay the message. I promptly hung up and made sure to block that number to save myself from any further nonsense.
