I've been inundated with calls on my home line from the number 01749574003, along with a multitude of others starting with 07419, and countless from various places across the UK and even a few international ones.
I never answer my phone when it displays an unknown caller. My voicemail kindly informs them that

“unless you provide your name and reason for calling, I won't be returning any missed calls.”

I tend to hold onto these mysterious numbers so I can keep track and report them if they persist. After that, I block them without hesitation.
This method has proven to be quite effective for me.

My grandad’s 84 and they rang his landline, I told them we didn’t have sky tv then they just dropped the call. Tried ringing them back on my phone to check and they asked me to leave my name, saying they’d get back to me. Really worried about these scam callers targeting my granddad. Would definitely avoid this number.

this number rang my grandad's home phone, he's 84 and when i told them we dont have sky tv they just cut the call. i tried calling back from my mobile and got asked to leave my name so they could get in touch. really worried about all these scam calls my grandad is getting. would avoid this number if i were you.

just got a call a couple of mins ago but when it switched to voicemail they hung up straight away. if it really mattered they’d have left a message wouldn’t they?

This number has called me four times today. Each time I answer, they simply hang up without saying a word. How peculiar!

Just had another go - I picked up the phone, and once more, they hung up without a peep. What a strange occurrence!

My phone’s set up to block calls from unknown numbers, so if they didn’t say who they were straight away, it wouldn’t even ring inside my house. If they really wanted to get hold of me, they’d have introduced themselves by now.
