Got a recorded call from a woman speaking with an American accent, saying she was from BT and that my phone line had been “compromised.” She told me to press 0 if it was a BT line or 2 for another provider. I just ignored it and reported the incident to Action Fraud through the ICO website. Definitely seemed like a scam to me. Then, later that day, I received another call like that but the number didn’t show up at all.
