I was greeted by a pre-recorded message from an American-accented voice when I answered the phone from 01749399987. It claimed to represent BT’s technical department and instructed me to press 1 if I was a BT customer or 2 for others. Just a word of caution - this is undoubtedly a scam call, so beware!

Got a robo-call from 01749399987 with some American accent. Said it was from BT internet support and told me to press 1 if I’m with BT or 2 if not. Don’t fall for this one, looks like one of those scams going about lately.
